Practise in Outlook
Practise working an inbox: triaging messages under time pressure, filing mail by type, telling a genuine message from a phishing attempt, and routing tickets to the right queue.
Exercises
- Inbox Zero Triage an inbox under time pressure: read each message and file, reply, delegate or archive it before the next one arrives.
- Classify Mail Sort incoming mail into the right folder from the sender, subject and opening line alone.
- Phishing Hunt Tell a genuine message from a phishing attempt by reading the sender address, the link target and the tone of the request.
- Ticket Routing Read a support ticket and send it to the queue that can actually resolve it, without bouncing it between teams.
- Typing Speed Measure words per minute and accuracy on the vocabulary that fills an ordinary working day.
